Magnetic ring type of iron core advantages:

High initial magnetic conductivity (this is the basic requirement of common mode inductance), high saturation magnetic induction intensity, stable temperature compared with ferrite (can be understood as the temperature rise is small), frequency characteristics are flexible, because of high magnetic conductivity, small can make a large amount of sensitivity, to adapt to the frequency is relatively wide;

Application:

Because of the cost factor, magnetic ring is mostly used in high-power power supply, someone described: "low-power magnetic ring is too high-grade", is justified.

Of course, because of the small size, the volume of the small power supply requirements, the use of magnetic ring is also a good choice.

The comprehensive performance is better than that of UF. For projects with low cost pressures, consider using a magnetic ring. For a practical test of conduction, the margin with magnetic ring is much lower. And it's less sensitive than UF.
